|
The North Carolina Coalition of Bowhunters consist of three archery clubs; Broken Arrow Archery Club (Elkin), Brushy Mountain Archery Club, (Hiddenite), Wilkes Archery Club (North Wilkesboro).
The North American Bowhunter Jamboree is the oldest 3D shoot in the United States. In the beginning we made our own 3D foam targets for this event. We now use exclusively McKenzie targets. This event is considered the birthplace of the McKenzie target.
This year’s Jamboree will be held June 25, 26 & 27, 2010 at the VanHoy Campground in Union Grove, NC, as it has for the past 29 years. It promises to be a fun and challenging event for archers and bowhunters of all ages and skill levels. The event has something for the whole family. Free primitive camping. There are 33 camp spaces available with full hook-up. The campground has a large swimming pool. Once again McKenzie Targets will sponsor the event. We will have a vendor and dealer area. There will be five 20-targets tournament ranges to keep the waiting lines down. This also allows many archers to shoot in different classes (if equipment allows and classes are assigned to different ranges). There will be a 10-target practice range available all weekend. A portion of the proceeds from the practice range will be donated to North Carolina Bowhunter Association. Coon shoot Friday and Saturday night – Novelty Shoots each day. Pack the tent, camper, archery equipment, grill, coolers, and whatever else you need. See you at “the GROVE”. |
